Canada's Moving Company Recruits Toronto Movers, Bradford Moving and Storage

Canada's national moving company, Great Canadian Van Lines, has added another family-run Toronto moving company to its growing list of agents. Bradford Moving and Storage, located in Holland Landing, north of Toronto, has provided full service moving and storage solutions for over 25 years. Now, as part of the Great Canadian Van Lines group, the company will be linked to movers across Canada and around the world.Toronto Moving Company Joins GCVL

This will be the third moving company to join Great Canadian Van Lines in 2010. Kootenai Storage and Relocation in Nelson BC and Burak Moving Corporation in Calgary signed up as agents earlier this year.

The new addition confirms Great Canadian Van Lines' status as one of the fastest growing moving company in Canada, but Mark Valliant, president of Great Canadian Van Lines, insists that quality of service is more important than growth for his company.

"We think of ourselves as Canada's moving company, and with every high quality mover we add to our roster we expand our reach, the speed we can respond to customer enquiries and the level of satisfaction we can extend to our clients," he said.

"We don't want to keep growing for the sake of it, but we know that Bradford Moving and Storage strives to ensure excellent customer relations and the staff are always willing to go the extra mile to satisfy each and every customer’s request, so we're very happy they chose to come on board with us."

Great Canadian Van Lines now has 35 moving agents across Canada, from Vancouver, British Columbia to St. Leonard, Quebec. In Ontario the company has 11 agents, including moving companies in Mississauga, Markham, Barrie, Burlington and now Holland Landing.

Every agent must live up to extremely high standards, and Bradford Moving and Storage is no different. Bradford has an impressive record of customer service, and has been voted 'best moving company' in the area for 14 consecutive years by the readers of the area's biggest regional newspaper, the Banner-Era.

Great Canadian Van Lines president, Mark Valliant, said: “We look forward to working with Bradford Moving and Storage for many years. The addition will be beneficial to Great Canadian Van Lines customers as Bradford offers the same high level of service that our customers have been accustomed to expect from all our agents.”

New Online Calculator Estimates Moving Costs Without In-Home Consultation

Great Canadian Van Lines announces the launch of their new Moving Calculator to provide accurate estimates of moving costs with the convenience of a simple online form.

VANCOUVER, BC – Until now, getting an estimate of moving costs has involved the time and hassle of an in-person walk-through of your home, with the mover making notes of the contents in order to create a written estimate. Worse yet, shopping around meant repeating this process several times over with competing moving services.

THE FACT – movers only need to know three simple factors to determine the price of your move:

  1. the weight and volume of goods to be moved,
  2. the distance to be travelled, and
  3. the date you’ll be moving.

THE PROBLEM – The distance is a simple matter of departure and arrival addresses, and the move date is equally straightforward. But the average consumer has always been at a loss to assess the weight and volume of a home’s contents. Although most furniture and household items conform to relatively standard weights and cubic footage, consumers have depended on movers’ on-site assessments as the only way to reach an estimate.

THE SOLUTION – With Great Canadian Van Lines’ new online Moving Calculator, consumers don’t need an in-home consultation – anyone can visit www.greatcanadianvanlines.com and click “Get A Free Estimate” to fill out the form. With this form, consumers can list the contents of their own homes, and submit the list online to get a free estimate within 24 hours.

Phil Sachinidis, National Sales Manager at Great Canadian Van Lines, has some tips for getting an accurate estimate using the Moving Calculator:

  • “It is important to ensure that you submit an accurate List of Goods,” he says. “Make sure you check under beds and in closets, attics and garages, and think of items you may have stored with friends and relatives or in storage facilities. Many people forget to include these areas when listing their goods.”
  • The National Sales Manager of The Vancouver movers and Toronto movers Phil Sachinidis gives tips on how to get an accurate online estimate for your move.

  • “The other area where many errors are made is in the box or carton count, because generally your boxes have not been packed when you submit your estimate,” he adds. “For an averagely furnished home, ensure your weight and box count are similar to our guide when you submit your estimate request. If we have accurate information to work with, your end price will also be accurate.”
