How can we do this?

It’s quite simple, although we also have a national infrastructure of high quality agents and offices, our Proprietary Moving System, and our Horizontal Management System allows us to operate with less overhead, which means less cost to you.  It's a proven system that has worked well for all concerned for the entire 20 years we've been in business.

We consider the above companies to be our major competitors because they are bona fide national van lines, operating with a proper national infrastructure of Sales and Marketing Departments, Dispatch, and Customer Service. All major national van lines will get your goods from point A to point B, however we feel our Low Claims Ratio, our Quick Transit Times, and our Low Prices set us ahead of the pack.

Use a National Van Line for Long Distance Moves

For a national move it is very important to use a National Van Line. Some small local moving companies, independent carriers, and load brokers will say they can handle long distance moves but lack the infrastructure required to provide service on a national level.   For one thing, they may not have adequate insurance coverage:

Workers Safety Insurance – Make sure you confirm that your moving company has Workers Safety Insurance coverage.  Otherwise you could be legally responsible for any physical injuries they incur while on your premises.

Cargo Insurance Coverage – It is imperative that you ask to view every moving company's Cargo Insurance policy.  You must make sure it is current and adequate for the value of your goods. The Canadian Association of Movers requirements are $250,000 of Cargo coverage. Cargo Insurance covers your goods while they are on the mover’s truck, provided you have declared a value on your mover’s contract.

Also, most small local movers are not able to get accreditation in organizations such as:

• The Canadian Association of Movers
• The American Movers and Storage Association
