Over and over again, Toronto has been voted as one of the top places to live, not only in Canada but the whole world. It’s obviously a great city if that is the case, but if you need some more convincing to pack up your bags, these are 8 reasons you should move to Toronto.

8. A Great Transit System (When It’s Working)

The people that live here are usually annoyed with it, but if you take a second to appreciate it, the Toronto Transit Commission is very vital to Toronto. You can travel from the west all the way to the east of Toronto on the train and can get pretty much anywhere in between by bus or streetcar.

7. Blue Jays, Raptors, Maple Leafs

Toronto’s pro sports teams are the talk of their respective leagues right now. The Blue Jays are in the playoffs, the Raptors made it to the conference finals last year and the Auston Matthews is the best thing to happen to the Maple Leafs in a long time.

There aren’t many cities where you can be downtown in the busiest part of the city and cross the street to head to the beach. Toronto’s waterfront is beautiful and there are many beaches throughout the city to prove it.

If you love food, Toronto is definitely the place for you. It seems like there is a new “it” restaurant every week, so be sure to stay on top of things or just visit your favourite go-to spots which you will quickly find.

Toronto is flooded with celebrities all the time. With over three professional sports teams, a booming film industry, and being home to some of the greatest musicians in the industry right now, don’t be surprised if you find yourself eating dinner next to a star from your favourite Netflix series.

Toronto has been named the most diverse city in the world on several occasions and you will have no problem identifying it when you arrive in the city. Little Italy, Little India, Koreatown, Chinatown(s), Little Jamaica are just examples of the various countries you can experience without even leaving Toronto.
